HELLO 2009!

The computer’s name is Joker. Its home town is Cincinnati, Ohio. (I just made that up, only the casino card that I kept said so. haha) Its favorite hangout is in the Gateway Casino.

Anyway, last Monday, Joker sang a lot of mp3s, offered lots of music videos, mr. bean episodes, GG videos, and embraced all my documents, whether in correct grammar or not. It never chooses which ones to save or not to save.

Just yesterday, it was stripped off all its beauty and became its original self. What a big sad.

Now, all it can offer me is a song by Beethoven entitled: Symphony #9 and Highway Blues by a Marc Seales.

Artistic and educational, eh?

THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR :)

This will probably the last post for this year. This year, I turned a year old in the office, grown horizontally, got 2 (or 4?) memos from the office, had exchanging gifts, paid jeepney fares from 6 to 8 to 7 pesos, ride taxi cabs plus 10 pesos, paid thrice as high as the previous month’s taxes, had no increase, and yes, 4 lates every month.

Nothing new but I sure had fun. Thanks to Coco Grill, Green Place, 13th month proportionate bonus, Bazaar @ IT Park, beads, chains, donuts, Masskara festival, procrastinating, McDo, BBQ sa eskina, Island hoppings, Bacon, pasta, pizzas, and to friendships, both old and new.

And to my BOSS, THANK YOU for making everyday wonderful.

CHEERS to 2009.

raising me

You wouldn’t want to be in my shoes now. The year is ending and I’m still lost. hehe. The relatives are nagging and pushing me to go somewhere. That is the reason why I do not want to sit around where the relatives are. Because if I do, in half a minute I will be in the hot seat. Technically, they talk about my future, my wrong decisions, and even my weight management in front of me. Backbiting is not common in our family; Instead, they say it indirectly: to your face.  

The parents do not talk to me about it. They definitely do not tell the relatives that putting me on the right track is more difficult than climbing the Everest. They keep silent and insert short comments when talking about the “FUTURE”. They used to talk about it all the time but I guess the parents are getting tired of reminding me of how I should take care of my own future.

The parents are not business gurus where money gush like rivers. Someday, you will realize that everything you want could not be given to you. At least you had the chance to have everything.

(They would say, with a smile)

True. I never realized sarcasm was this effective.

After three days, I thought about working on something that might be useful to me. So, instead of sleeping, going out every other 20 minutes or eating – I have decided to learn the basics (as in basic jud) of HTML and CSS. The screenshot above is nothing illegal, OK?. I just want to show you the results. It’s fun at the same time frustrating. HAHA. I am no brainer when it comes to tech jargons but I guess a little reading can bring me somewhere.

Oh, and the song up there is nice! Its one of the songs from the movie,  ”The Women”. We watched it last night and it was fun. It’s about friendship and obviously, women.  Seriously, there were no men in the movie! hahaha.

rants @ 2 in the afternoon

Reality is, there is nothing you can do about annoying people. Plus, if you work in the same office, they annoy you on a daily basis just by showing up. hehe. Seriously, who would have expected that I’d be working with a Paris Hilton wannabe! HAHAHA!
